IGN: Chaos Wars Review

IGN writes: " I'm not entirely sure why, but Japan has been awash in crossover games in recent years, most of which were apparently seen as too niche to make a splash here in the US, even ones that featured major characters like Namco x Capcom. On the complete opposite end lies Chaos Wars, which mixes characters from far lesser-known games like the Shadow Hearts series, Gungrave and developer Idea Factory's own Neverland RPGs.

On the one hand, I have to give O~3 some props for taking a risk in bringing over a game that doesn't exactly have a huge dedicated fanbase, but it also means that Chaos Wars is very clearly aimed at a specific audience -- possibly even one that has taken the time to import some of Idea Factory's games, since their characters make up the bulk of the crossover roster."
