IGN: Jack Thompson is the protagonist of BioShock

IGN on BioShock (in their Xbox 360 2007 Year in Review feature):

"Players inhabited the body of Jack Thompson, a victim of a plane crash in the middle of the ocean with no help in sight other than a nearby lighthouse. Doing what he thought was best Jack swam over, entered and was transported to the underwater insanity trapped within the world of Rapture."

It doesnt surprise Dark Sniper that Jack Thompson and XBOX would be mentioned in the same sentence in a positive light.

Jack Thompson's alliance with Microsoft once again alludes to Dark Sniper's prior comments on Microsoft being the evil, vile, uninhibited corporation that it is. With attorney Jack Thompson on Microsoft's side, this shows Microsoft's valiant efforts to enforce slavery and communism into the gaming community.

Dark Sniper and his Sony Snipers have kept a keen eye on the slave tactics that Microsoft has done to the consumer. Dark Sniper suggests abandoning XBOX 360 before it's too late. Not aboloshing this console will leave you into Purgatory created by Microsoft.

I actually think that's pretty funny. Apparently the fellows over in the Report History disagree with me.

Nice catch, though. If Jack Thompson was the protagonist of BioShock I would be much more compelled to get crushed by Big Daddies. Although I must admit, the idea of a fire-wielding, telekinetic Jack Thompson is quite frightening...
