Duke Nukem Forever planned for multi-format release

3D Realms plans to release the long awaited shooter on multiple platforms

Developer 3D Realms has told MCV that it is planning on a multi-format release for the highly anticipated shooter Duke Nukem Forever, which has been in development for around ten years.

Hmm, to relay this to the past "merits" of DNF .. the remaining development will only take ... forever.

I will only believe in it when it is actually on the storeshelf, not a second before that.

Well this news is great. Plus another thing Surfer Girl said would happen. But just because she got that right does not mean she will always be right. Again it is great news. Plus more info on DNF is even better.

Dude this is what pretty much EVERYONE with half a brain would have predicted

and sadly, yes as 80% of the other Surfer Girl "insider rumors"/predictions its pretty much and obvious educated guess

I also think its pretty obvious it would have a multiplat release when the original was coming on xbox and PS2 too >.> (but this sort of this Surfer Girl never mentions to keep the mood of "I have actual insider info" on her blog)

I was never overly impressed with Duke Nukem to begin with, and this game has been plagued by the histories worst delays that I'll be surprised if it makes just one system much less more than one.

I can see this being PC/360 exclusive. I mean, they're doing all the work on PC and it's been in the works for 10 years. They can easily port to 360. PS3 requires new coding and this company hasn't released anything in ages, my guess is the PS3 is still foreign architecture to them.

I guess the site says PS3 also, however I dunno how it'll end up on that platform. 3d realms have worked with 360 with the release of Prey. Nothing on PS3 so far...

I saw the first pics of this game back before I bought my first PC some 7 years ago! How about not worrying about formats, and just worrying about getting this damn thing out the door and making sure it's worth the long wait.
