How WiiFit and Mario Kart Wii are there but Little Big Planet, Fable 2, Too Human, GT5 and Alan Wake are not is beyond me.

a lot of titles on there imo didnt deserve to make the cut and lots of titles missing out. GT5 and too human didnt show then we see army of two i mean common army of two isnt highly anticipated is it. Also wasnt RE5 pushed to 2k9

But LBP was one of the biggest winners of E3 and Game of the Show nom and winner by choice of many sites and mags. Also, it was the game that most non-PS3 fans liked at E3 and GDC.
God, I love this game. Can't wait.

Agreed, it should have included many other games, but i guess that`s how it always is with this lists, something to disagree with ;)

Both RE5 and FF13 will be great games, but will probably not be out until 2009 :( I suspect the same could/will happen to GT5, but we`ll see.

Little Big Planet should be in any best of 2008 list (it`s going to be a big planet indeed). Alan Wake (looks more creepy than Dead Space), and Resistance 2 (how good is this going to look and play) also, to mention a few more. Just think of all the secret games will should come up during "E3" too, guess the list have to be rewritten as we go along ;)

Maldread, agree with your points but in Resistance 2's case, it's not officially confirmed yet but the list indeed has to be rewritten soon :)

While I agree that GT5's absense is really stupid, I believe the most scandalous missing game is Little Big Planet (A Game of E3 worthy title and a game that every one even PS3 haters couldn't resist).

5.1 - well...

all the hands on are very promising, the only criticism was with the AI which is an easy fix with all the development time they have left. i cant remember anyone complaining about frame rates and i read a developer interviews where he said the game will run at a SOLID 30fps minimum @ 720p.

for me as a FPS fan this is the GAME of 08, i just hope it gets pulled off.

Not officially no. But it will be that way. Listen. Gears of War 1 came @ Christmas 2006. That game took about 2 to 3 years to produce. The engine is now known. Sequels are known to be produced in 1 to 2 years max. when the same engine is used, because it'll all works faster.

Be pretty sure that Epic wants that main seller next Christmas again, they have UT3 this Christmas + some sales on 360 Spring 2008. They'll have another main seller on 360 exclusive Christmas 2008. Probably a release on PC a year after of Gears 2, maybe not if Gears 1 didn't sell so well or if Bill Gates decides that this time Gears 2 will only be on 360.

It isn't so logical that Gears of War 2 will come @ Christmas 2009. It just won't take that long to get a great sequel to the best consolegame with best graphics this generation!

while GEARS was the sole reason i bought a 360........ and i would love me some GEARS 2 i doubt itll come out 2008......i just hope they fix and get rid of any glitches from the first. i played GEARS yesterday for the first time in id say 3 months. i was on a team with strangers...we went at it with another group first to 12, we tied up at 11-11 when a sorry piece of sh!t mothef@cker uses the rodie run and shoot glitch to secure their win......so please EPIC fix the damn glitches.

back on topic, cant wait for MGS 4, killzone 2, LBP, and just like with GEARS 2 i hope GOD OF WAR 3 comes out in 2008, nicely polished and unrushed.

EDIT: yeah its a strange selection to say the least but i guess there so many get looking titles next year he couldnt list them all. Still id like to see games like PROJECT ORIGIN (fear2) in there.

I am looking forward to that quite a lot. I think the new PS3 gamers just entering Condemned's world are going to be in for a shock. Condemned 1 was a pretty twisted game.

I guess thay had to leave some spaces for Wii games....but really, Wii is a different market, so it just looks strange when you list them like this.

Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl are going to eat up my time like nothing else.

Then I have Burnout Paradise and MGS4 to look forward to.

I would say FFXIII also, but I have doubts we'll see it next year.
