Jack Thompson's sights set on BioShock now?

Things have been remarkably quiet on the Jack Thompson front recently; hell, what with GTA IV held back until next year and Manhunt 2 currently trying to appeal its unrated classification from the BBFC, you'd think he'd be sitting back, sipping on some margaritas and psyching himself up for a new year chock full of violent digital atrocities to campaign against. But no, it seems that Thompson's crusade knows no rest – the lawyer recently revealed in a comment on Game Politics that his sights are now set on BioShock.

If the screwball is attacking a completly underwater fantasy game like Bioshock, then he'll have to ban games like:

Stranglehold (lots of guns, violence and realistic body shots)
Heavenly Sword (big swords chopping up people)
Killzone (FPS with big guns and bullets killing people)
Loco Roco 2 (killing little yellow blobs by accident may cause kids to throw there yellow joindus brother out the window)

Jack is just aliening Take Two because they got that law suit against him. He's holding a grudge, and If I was Take Two, I'd sue his ass again for stalking!

GTA, yes definitely. But Bully didn't sell very well despite the public boost. Neither was Manhunt a 'hit' by sales records.

Yeah, you`re right about that. I think Manhunt did alright though, but Bully didn`t. Shame really, i thought it was great fun. Perhaps not the most original game, but the fighting system in Bully was good, and it was pretty funny too. I would advice anyone to at least try it. I don`t know about Manhunt, as i`ve never played it. It did seem interesting though, maybe i`ll give it a shot sometimes.

I think Manhunt and Bully didn`t sell as well as GTA because they`re not mainstream enough. And i think perhaps it will go the same way with Bioshock, even if it`s as good as the reviews say, which it has to be since so many have given it a top mark. Most people will probably buy another WW2 or modern day shooter because it`s more familiar territory for them. Still, i hope i`m wrong because Bioshock seems great, and i would like to see a great game get the sales it deserves.

I think more people would at least get to hear about it and perhaps give Bioshock a go and play with it`s mechanics possibilities, if it was tried to be banned. I think all PR is Good PR for a game so none mainstream as Bioshock. I`m definitely not a PR expert though, so i could be very wrong too hehe ;)

he is undoing everything he's claiming to achieve by "saving kids from murder simulators" as he calls them, by giving infinite publicity for a game that otherwise wouldn't be as advertised to the masses around the world. Of course us on these games sites know how good bioshock will be and deserves its praise from the hard work the devs have put into this killer app. but with jack trying to boycott these types of games he is inadvertantly getting people to go hmmm what's so bad about these games and guess what JACK, you just helped these publisher's market their game on controversy and these games you hate so much, are now going to become big money makers. Anytime you tell kids or someone that a game is not good or its bad for kids, what usually happens? You become curious as to what the fuss is about right? So i say keep it up Jack your helping the industry make billions while you try to vindicate yourself through your crusade against videogames.

It's obvious that Jack does this to get attention. There are a dozen of M rated games much worse and gorier than BioShock or GTA4 but he always goes for the famous ones to get attention to himself.
