Stranglehold's PS3 delay ONLY for Euro version. US version still on track for September 17.

"This is for the Euro version BTW. I received that press release also. As of last night, Midway North America informed us that:

The full version of Stranglehold is currently expected to ship on August 27th for the Xbox 360 and PC, and September 17th for the PlayStation 3. PC and PlayStation 3 demos coming soon. "

"To be thorough, I just contacted Midway U.S. and got the following response:

I can confirm that Stranglehold is shipping on 8/27 for X360 and PC and 9/17 for PS3 here in the U.S. If you have any questions, please let me know. "

Updates:

Edit: 1up also confirms Stranglehold is NOT delayed for PS3. It is still on track for September 17 release date.

What I reported was not false and double checked with Midway, so don't blame me for the news. We got the press release which said the Xbox 360 and PC version were going to be released on August 27. No word of the PS3 version, so I contacted Midway why there was no mention of the PS3 version. Few hours later I recieved a reply from Craig at Midway and he said that Stranglehold on PS3 has no specific releasedate, but it would definitely be released this year.

If you don't believe me, I can forward the mail to you if you want.

I've played this game's demo on the 360 and on the PC (with a 360 controller for some reason) and all I've got to say is that this game isn't as good on the 360. I don't know why, it just didn't seem to control as good on the 360 even though I was playing with a 360 controller on the PC. The graphics were almost the same, but the PC version runs a lot smoother. (Maybe it's because it was running on a ridiculous monster of an alienware computer) Either way the 360 demo is still entertaining and I'm awaiting a ps3 demo to see if it has the same differences. If you own a top of the line PC get this game. You won't be disapointed.
