I just got this game a few mins ago, i'm not a PC gamer anymore since my PC is crappy but hot damm, i love TF2 free weekend & $2.50 that a freaking steal & add TF2 in my steam account with CS Source ^_^, waiting for the next Intel i7 + Geforce 360m laptop but only getting that gaming laptop for CUDA encoding & Splinter Cell & Allan Wake for PC.

It's one of the most underrated games on the market if you ask me. The balance of all the classes and the developer commitment to keep bringing updates to a class at a time to balance it still but in a different way. No other game makes you work as a team more. The name Team Fortress 2 is so fitting. This game isn't GOTY or anything like that but as a fun online shooter, it's in my top 3. Considering how many online shooters there are nowadays, that's impressive.

Underrated in the entire game market he probably means. Every PC gamer and their mother can respect and admire TF2. But most console gamers who've never really seen it in action would brush it off thinking it was a kiddy game.

TF2 had dozens of awards under its belt. Getting 'multiplayer game of the year' from PC game by beating Call of Duty 4.

That's exactly what I meant. I said in the game market it's underrated. Any PC gamer knows and probably loves it. But console gamers maybe haven't even heard of it. It's amazing to me how some people call themselves true gamers when all they do is play PC or just play consoles. I for one play and enjoy both immensely. I prefer all shooter for PC unless it's PS3 or 360 exclusive.

I agree and it deserves those awards. However in terms of being GOTY, I don't see an online only shooter ever winning. COD has a single player campaign at least but I think this year the game that brings everything to the table and more is Uncharted 2 hands down.

Bought one for myself and another one for my friend as a gift. God I love Valve and Steam. I also bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. which I've played a long time ago and loved. I wasn't going to buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but after seeing that über discount for Team Fortress 2 I couldn't resist :D...
