Counter-Strike weapons invade Left 4 Dead 2

Valve, being the kind and generous folks they are, will be giving purchasers of the censored German version of Left 4 Dead 2 a 50% chance of having five different Counter-Strike weapons spawn in their game. The weapons aren't simply reskins but rather have their own unique stats. The spawning works the same way the baseball bat pre-order works: if a player with the censored German version joins a game, the entire server will receive the weapons. No word yet on what the Aussies will get. Maybe kangaroos?

This is how I see it.
America: Violence is ok, but no sexual themes.
A lot of European countries: Sexual themes are ok, but Violence a BIG no!

Being a big counter-strike fan, these are something i'd wish for in the UK version of left 4 dead 2. The scout and AWP would be so amazing!

I think it is possible to somehow import the weapons to the PC version. Just like someone imported the Dustbowl map from TF 2 into L4D. Hilarious!

I really hope they include the guns in the American version; it'd be pretty cool. I just have this nagging feeling they're going to try to make it paid updates for the games.

Paid DLC? Lol.

You'll never see paid DLC in a game if Valve has any say in it. If you really want to use the guns, load up the single player or your own server, type SV_CHEATS 1 into the dev console, and give <weapon name here>.

Seems like a nice way for Valve to piss off more people. Should of been a free patch worldwide regardless.

Still nice I guess, with censorship overseas butchering games these days with rules and restrictions.

If a german player joins the server then everyone on that server will be able to get the weapons same with the bat for the people in the UK like myself. I'm pretty sure that some people will develop a mod or plugin for the admins to use so they can get all these exclusive weapons.
