Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection Revealed

Square Enix Ltd. has today announced that the entire Final Fantasy XI universe, including all previous expansion packs and add-on scenarios, will be available for the first time ever in one download from 12th November 2009. Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection will be available exclusively as a Windows-based download, including support for Windows 7.

i'll just wait for FFXIV... sooner or later they'll shut down those servers. XI is gettin' pretty dated.

More likely later rather then sooner. FFXI has a incredibly dedicated player base and with how completely different Final Fantasy XIV is shaping up the vast majority are not gonna make the jump.

With that being the case FFXI will still be profitable and will continue to run as long as it is making money and it shows no signs of losing money any time soon.

It's a GREAT deal, but yeah the game was showing it's age only a year after its debut. I always thought they did a much better job with content than WoW as far as frequency and pricing, but other parts of dealing with POL and the game itself were incredibly frustrating. Hope FFXIV manages to establish a meaningful customer service front in the West this time.

i wish square Enix would at least provide an esimate when they may shut down the servers. I cant imagine the game will be around much longer when FFxiv comes out next year. But who knows.

Well its pc only purchase they might keep it around to meet pc users demands who might not be able to jump on to XIV.
