IGN: Aion Review

Aion is a beautiful, well-polished, well-presented game that introduces a new combat mechanic in fantasy MMOs, fighting on wings. In fact, it's such a lovely game that IGN wishes there were more of it. While it offers something for both PvE and PvP-oriented players, it will only truly appeal to those who enjoy both, as the full Aion experience can only be achieved both by leveling up through quests and by playing in the Abyss when you're strong enough. The developers have actually added a great deal of PvE content in the process of localizing it for the North American/ European market and the potential is definitely there for the game to grow in that aspect but as it stands, ultimately the heart and soul of Aion is the Abyss.

its been over since day one....lol everyone just wanted the same server so thats y it happened, it never happened to my server or a few others.

but yeah all of them are fine now lol no waiting anywhere ;p

It was only yestereday there was a queue on Castor(Eng) server but it's a lot less of a problem than a week ago.

Give it another week and there'll be no more queues.

2.1 - Play a Spiritmaster.
Most survivability and solo-friendly character I've ever played. Templars are similar in terms of soloablility. But the cool thing about the game is that it actually fosters group mind-sets.

It's not uncommon for ppl to use the chat channels for group quests, Elyos spottings (I'm Asmodian), rift openings and other game-related things.

Sure, there's some channel spam, but players in this game communicate. It's not uncommon to be rezzed by another player, especially if enemies are around.

Phenomenal game and enjoying every minute of it. Look me up on Vaziel, playing a 39 SM. That said, I solo most of the time, but it's never hard to find a group for quests.

I don't get how this got a 9.5 in graphics. Age of Conan looks years ahead of it, and it's a year older.

This game is fantastic. Played in 2 of the betas, and NCSoft has done everything in their power to listen to the players and constantly tries to improve the game.

The game looks pretty solid all around, as long as they can keep a healthy amount of end-game content, I think it will do great in the long run.

I am playing it since release. It is my first MMO in years... I really like it, but I hope the lasting appeal is wrong.

But we all know games like this will get plenty of patches and added content.
