Review: Majesty 2 | GamesAreEvil

GrE writes, "Being Scottish I have a certain amount of love for Sean Connery, also known as Edinburgh's favorite milkman. He defined James Bond, fathered Indiana Jones, and has very few equals as far as well-known Scots go. There is, however, someone who loves Sean a little more than is healthy and that is the person who directed the voice-acting on Majestic 2.

We will get into that properly in a minute, but first I'd like to take a look at the main features of the game . The RTS genre is almost as well-populated as the FPS genre, especially on the PC, and it takes something exceptional to really make an RTS stand out from the pack. Majesty 2 spends most of its time teetering on the edge of greatness..."

Seems like Warcraft III to me. What's so new about it. Even Dawn Of War II has some innovation.

Yeah, all these games you can watch instead of play are a letdown.

This game looks like it could have been really cool.

Yeah, too bad it didn't quite teeter to the greatness side.

I'm still quite tempted to give this a go, I like passive RTSes. They're kinda relaxing

Majesty one was Great!

it had a very different feel,

You didn't control your heroes, you enticed them!

so if your town had the proper necessities, your wizard hero for example, would go train in town, and level up on his own, and if you wanted him to go get experience from guys, you would have to set rewards for killing things.

Also you had a town tax collector going round to all the markets/houses and collecting money.

this game was really cool, hope the sequel expanded on that!
