I know, translation of Google is not the best and it also ruins the layout.

His character and story is better laid out in the Halo novels than in the video games. The video games do a terrible job of developing his character and relationship with Cortana and the UNSC.

yeah like in the novel I see your point but he can't be the most honourable gaming icon. I see him AS the most honourable icon on xbox.

"Master Chief has its own personality.he described as a loyal, calm and quiet person "

Not trying to diss the chief here , but how is that different from the generic template of so many games heroes ? Arent they usually just quiet and loyal when well there is nothing much left to add up to a personality or to say ?

I have read Fall of Reach, First Strike and Ghosts of Onxy. You get a better sense of the story with the books. And even better, you see how bad@ss Master Chief and the rest of the Spartans really are. So yes, you should read them

10 - Master Chief and the rest of the Spartans are awesome....
I actually have all the novels including the graphic novel, and they are a great read. You don't even need to be a fan of the game to enjoy them. The story telling is just that good. It also explains how the Spartans came to be, so to one of the posters above, he is more then just a soldier that can jump high(ignorance).

The Mass Affect books are pretty good too. I finished the first one, and now am moving on to the second. They are pretty good.

I can't understand the translation, but I think Master Chief is a great Gaming Icon.

I like the Master Chief.

But I think there is still room to flesh out the character, from a gaming perspective as I have not read any of the books or graphic novels.

I would like to see if the sudden abduction and brutal training of the Spartan program had any Psychological effects on the man, Is that the reason for the stoic silence of the Master Chief?

Does he still think about or even remember his home world or parents?

Does he fight because he's a hero who knows its the right thing to do?
or is there some kind of brainwashing/manipulation on the part of the UNSC?

As I said I haven't read any of the books, but these sorts of things could still be told within the games to give us a better character.
