So does this remove the level cap and allow you to continue after you complete the main story line?

I see no mention of it so I guess not.

1.1 - That was 1 of the biggest issues in Fallout 3
Im stuck with the Ps3 version and as theres no Dlc 4 us (i was grittin my teeth when i wrote that) u would of atleast thought theyll remove the Level up cap

I just couldnt c the point in continuing on with the game 1nce youve reached 20Xp so i guess even if the Dlc came out on the Ps3 version i probably wouldnt of bought it due 2 the cap

I did get the Platinum trophy though so the extra achievements would possibly b worth it

The Level cap comes with the actual Broken Steel DLC released on May 5th, this is a title update in preparation for the content.

Thanks for the feedback. Robondacob, that is exactly what I did I have a save without the last mission completed and have my character all jacked up. =)

Btw: I agree with the many Sony fans angry about not getting an update. DLC is one thing but a title update/bug fix should be made for all the platforms the game is on. I still think Bethesda will do a title update for the PS3 they are probably just busy with all the DLC work right now. Or maybe these fix bugs that aren't present or needed in the PS3 version?

Bethesda is spitting in my face now. So some customers deserve better treatment, no patch for the PS3? Bethesda f$ck you!

The fixes are needed, they're just not being provided. There are definitely bugs in my PS3 version. I think it's lame to not at least fix bugs and make minor updates. Yeah, people paid $60 and that certainly does not include DLC, but it should include a properly working game.

1.7 - Screw you Bethesda
What the hell made them decide that only certain paying customers deserve a properly working product? Were they payed not to fix bugs in the Ps3 version? Or do they just arbitrarily favor customers who bought the 360 version. I'm really getting sick of this sh!t. I pay $60, $70, or $80 for a game I want it supported, it's bad enough they're getting payed off to withhold content from Ps3 owners.

Operation Anchorage was a big let down for me and The Pitt was just so so. I'm hoping Broken Steel can bring more of the awesome game that those failed to do.

Beth kinda failed with the leveling in this game. Its easy to make a character that can do almost anything, so with 1 play through you leave no computer unhacked or safe unopen, they were simply too generous with the points you get from a level up. If i was forced to choose between a stealth guy or a tank type then i might play again to get the different experience.

I felt like it was an amazing game, especially the game world but at the same time it felt kind of unfinished, which is sad. VATS was interesting and for me at least it did not get boring using it, but it also felt like they could have expanded on it a little too.

Even though Fallout 3's leveling system wasn't perfect, it was still much better than Oblivion's.

Y'know, it's not even the fact the PS3 isn't getting DLC that bothers me. It's the fact we don't get any patches. :/

Yeah, I know what you mean.

My only Bethesda game so far is Oblivion IV cause it was dirty cheap, but Im not buying any more games from them. The treatment they are giving to Fallout III PS3 owners is disrespectful. Its like they are cheating on ps3 gamers. Bethesda should go MS exclusive as Valve did, and cheat not more PS3 owners with incomplete and buggy games. We always can get the superior version on the PC for FREE.

I know for a fact you're trolling when you say that, but it is true and it is terrible.

I don't usually jump straight to the decision of buying a multiplatform game on the 360 over the PS3, but when i bought it - without a second thought i bought it for the 360 instead.

7.2 - @Kurylo3d:
I sure as hell won't. And it's not because of the "Eff you" that they're giving PS3 owners (although that doesn't help), but mainly because I don't see why I should pay $60 to be a beta tester.

I mean.....seriously.....the game pauses whenever a PS3 notification pops up? Really? How the hell did that pass QA?

Less than 20 minutes into the game, I have to restart the whole damn thing because of the GOAT test glitch? I can understand some of the later glitches and bugs and whatnot.....the game is so big, that you seriously can't test for every single situation.....but 20 minutes into the goddamn game? In a situation that's unavoidable and everyone who plays your game will see? Is that supposed to be funny?

So, yeah, they can stick their next game up their asses until I'm sure that it works and I'm able to buy it for $40 or less. And when I do buy it, I'll make certain I buy it used....and I normally don't do that.

Don't pretend you know me dude...I never bought the first Oblivion so why would I buy the next one? I was thinking about buying Oblivion since it's dirt cheap but the lack of support for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 has left a bad taste in my mouth.

If Beth won't support my PS3 with patches & DLC then I won't support them...plain & simple.

Bethesda never promised continued support for the PS3, only PC and 360. Just like DE and 2k never promised the extra PS3 Bioshock content to the 360.

Get over it or get a PC or 360, because it's pretty clear the PS3 isn't getting this anytime soon, if at all.

Jason 360, it isn't so much about the extra content, more so how terrible the performance of the PS3 version is, with all the glitches and such.

I didn't know Betheseda promised anything to anyone. I read the PS3 Fallout reviews and it looked like a great game to pick up (and it was). I won't get over it just 'cause you're telling me to either & I also wouldn't waste 10 bucks on a 360. A good gaming PC? Maybe.

Bethesda should just go 360 exclusive & get it overwith. F**K 'em.

It's really not Bethesda's fault. You choose to buy the most expensive, most unpopular console....with 250 less games, and worse game performance. :/

At least you have

I would loveeee if Bethesda went exclusive..
That would mean the games would be that much better! :)

And, besides, it's not like other companies don't fix their games.
Granted, Beth, should fix BOTH versions of the game..
But, they are not, so quit whining, the game is still good.

I can't get over this. When I got to that part, I thought the logic part of my brain fried out because it didn't even cross my mind that such an embarassing glitch could make it into a finished product. It's the beginning of the game, everyone has to play through it and you have to at least reload your game to pass it. The Google search was funny though: "Why can't I sit at the desk for the GOAT test? Fallout 3" lol

8.1 - Thats the spirit, f'em!
They want to be money whores, fine then just keep it off the PS3 if it will not be supported 100%. Sold out their fans for the cash. Nice. Only way companies really learn a lesson is a hit to the wallet by not supporting their products which are not supported all the way.
Also @Kurylo3d, not everyone is a game addict and can't control themselves from supporting a company that screws them over.

10 - So Bethesda...
...tell me WHY you hate the video game industry!

EDIT: I'm starting to wonder if Sony should consider suing Bethesda and/or Microsoft over this BS! I have to think they COULD because I'm doubting that MS would keep PATCHES off the other system (if they did, good lord would we ever see a effin' riot, which is why I included MS in the first sentence). Conspiracy to sabotage the competitor's system, perhaps. The way THIS is going, I would think there would be something Sony COULD do about this.

DLC is one thing, but not getting patches is just plain wrong, especially when you KNOW the version needs them.

Actually, I don't believe Sony could do anything..
Bethesda did not break any contracts or anything of that nature.
And, it is not required for them to release any patches at all.

It just sucks that Bethesda are to stupid to support it's PS3 fans.

Bethesda said it was going to bring DLC to the 360 and not the PS3. That made me think "which one will get more support" and the answer was clear. So I got it for the 360 and, at the time, got LBP for my PS3. So either I've got more brains than most of the people b*tching in here or they don't care which would have been better

@caff

Nobody is complaining for "TEH DLCzzz", we are talking here about simple things like patch a damnn bug that wasnt supposed to be there in first palce. Patches have been released on 360, why not the PS3 as well? Bethesda software is clearly a non-friendly developer for PS3 owners.

Reminder for Bethesda suckers, 2009 is not 2006, PS3 platform is not, by any means, lacking high quality software, indeed we need to be very wise choosing our games. So with this kind of "support" I hope their sales drop a lot on the PS3 format.
