My favourite of the series is definitely Silent Hill 2, but this game had some really awesome parts, especially the Pyramid related ending. Unfortunately I got the dullest ending when I played through it, but youtube saved the day.

3 - I love Silent Hill.
This latest incarnation however, was something that just made me feel let down.
The graphics are poor, the story doesn't have the same impact as it's predecessors and the gameplay is well, crap.
They've taken the survival element out of the game and turned it into a rather pathetic third person brawler.
Gone is the fact that you never used to stand a chance in hand to hand with the nasties. Now you can simply fight your way through the entire game.
It really is crap.
In fact I found it so bad that I don't now if I'll bother trying the next one if/when it is released.
