They were dissolved, perhaps they are coming back? Or the Digital Anvil team at Microsoft is continuing support of one of their best games??

Freelancer is the sh*t! I've spent hours on this game, shame they canceled the sequel, the prototypes looked amazing!

I think the original article was read wrong is all. It reads "The Phoenix mod is an addon mod for Freelancer by Digital Anvil". I suspect they mean "is an addon mod for 'Freelancer by Digital Anvil'" as in that DA made FL, but not the mod. Digital Anvil no longer exists to the best of my knowledge. Still awesome that the game has an active modding community though.
