You could always go back to Chainsawing doods in Gears of War. WTF are you talking about? You mean you don't like US Army tag on it. I'm sure you don't have a problem playing other games like COD4 or Soldier of Fortune or other games that glorify War and Violence to a much greater extent than the AA games ever do.

I am impressed. I remember playing AA back in the day when I didn't have money to pay for games. The game is too realistic for me.

A few of those shots look really nice, not sure what the budget for such games are though.

For a FREE game, this is amazing. Only other free games with comparable graphics are Global Agenda and Huxley, though those two games use Unreal Engine 3 as well. UE3 is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to free games.

Stop hating on the unreal engine, it may be old but can still produce great games, look at ut3, mirrors edge, gears 2. It may not be killzone 2 or uncharted but it still looks pretty good.

This may not have top quality visuals but its free so you cant really complain.

this looks really lame, it looks like it was funded by the same people that make all those really lame attempts at hip advertising for the army.

Certainly doesn't look beautiful, but it's pretty good for a free game.

Anything using the UE3 engine gives me a laugh these days. Let's show gamers what real warfare is about with texture pop-in! Get the feel of your adrenaline pumping as the framerate takes a dive, making you experience time standing still!

All game engines leave their indelible mark on the games that utilize them and the Unreal 3 Engine is no different. I have to admit though, that I am getting a little bit tired of the look of the Unreal 3 Engine. I enjoy seeing new engines, but like some of you have already said, you really can't complain when it comes to a free game.

14 - @9.1 I'm sure I'll be in tears.
Feel free to add to this list, but the only games that have produced decent enough results from the UE3 engine are GeOW1&2, UTIII, Bioshock and Mass Effect. The other games, Brothers in Arms, Legendary, Last Remnant and whatever produced terrible results with horrible frame-rates, texture pop-in, and in LR's case complete model pop-ins. You tell me I'll cry (as if a game's technology is worth crying over?) over Mass Effect 2 for using UE3. Let's look at how UE3 worked with Mass Effect: impressive character models and facial expressions, terrible environments and frame-rate issues. I wish BioWare would have developed their own gaming engine like they did during their Xbox days, because I'm sure they're capable of building one that shows the UE3 for the out-dated, frustrating tech it is. No, I'm no developer, yet, but if the UE3 was all it was cut out to be, then developers wouldn't be having so much trouble with it, would they?
