Elveon Coming To PS3

Speaking with Matthias Schindler from 10tacle Studios earlier today, PSU learned that Elveon, a Third-Person Action RPG for the XBox 360, would be making its way to the PS3. It has been reported before as a game to look forward to on the 360, and PS3 owners will now be able to enjoy it as well.

Developers need the widest install base possible. It just costs too much these days to make a game $12 - $24 million for either platform. So of course good business is to maximize your audience to maximize your profit. Only caveat is that this game will not shine on either system. That is left to system exclusives. I am sure Lair will blow this away. IMO.

In all fairness it's not really the 360 losing an exclusive. It was originally multi platform, and then ps3 was seemingly dropped but with no official confirmation, and now it is multi again.

Why are people having such a hard time coming to grips with this ? 3rd party exclusives are all but dead. Especially when the console sales will be around neck and neck this generation.

I was not surprised when I heard this , the only bad thing about this is I heard its a REALLY timed exclusive for 360 , like almost a year , till they release a PS3 version for sale. We'll have to see.

Expect to see most games that do not have a Microsoft Games Studio or SCEA svreen when you boot it up go multiplatform.

Added on 05/03/2007.

Update: We were contacted by 10tacle regarding Elveon and it seems that the information provided us was inaccurate. We have been told that 10tacle have never confirmed a PS3 version of the game and that they are not currently working on it.
