New Dragon Age details

BioWare has removed the veil of secrecy on all six Origin Stories featured in its upcoming action-fantasy epic, Dragon Age: Origins.

According to the dev, "Each Origin Story starts the player off with a unique series of locations, characters and events that establish their motivations and lay the groundwork for the adventure to come." Each story is said to feature "several hours of unique game play".

For your information the RPG genre is my favourite genre. It just happens that it's stale.

Elves and Dwarves are not the defenition of fantasy. That crap is starting to smell. I whish Bioware and Bethesda could get less inspiration from popcorn fantasy literature and start doing something fresh for a change.

4.3 - I disagree
Nah, I don't think it's stale. That's the same as all these people saying WW2 games are stale in shooters. Not if they are done right. A good thing never gets old if it's done well.

It depends. "Doing well" may mean doing the same thing over and over again. I don't want that. Unfortunately Dragon Age is more of the same.

As for WWII shooters, they also are getting stale. The problem is not the setting, its what people do with the games. Look for example at Hidden & Dangerous 2; its still unsurpassed as a tactical WWII shooter, and was released years ago. The problem is that people will flock to Call of Duty and get more of the same again and don't even know what H&D is.

5 - I am SOOO ready for a hack n slash RPG
I sure hope this one is a true successor to Baldur's Gate and the Champions of Norrath series. I absolutely LOVED those games. Ahhh. 2009 is looking to be one of the best gaming years I have EVER experienced!! Next year will be even better because my two favorite franchises of all-time will get release dates: Twisted Metal and Final Fantasy 13. Yea!!!

7 - Bioware hasn't let me down yet
Every Bioware game i've played has been great. From Mass Effect and Jade Empire to Baldur's Gate and KOTOR. All have been AAA titles that lived up well to both reviews and sales. I'll slap my money down any day to the next great Bioware game.

I would agree with you besides Jade Empire. Idk what it was but something about that game but it just put me to sleep. I was really hyped for it too. Sadly, I didn't even finish it even though I loved every other Bioware game.
