Looks like one niece piece of machinery.. Not something i'd buy personally but obviously the more techy hard core gamers who love shiny new toys ans such.

well it's going to be a while until this becomes a standard but it's def. a step the right direction.

sounds awesome, but i bet it takes hours to get used to.. and it would be a mighty obstacle on your desk when its not in use.

You'd get a great feel for the game with this, as the actual physics of the character and the actions etc are outputted through The Falcon.

So if say one of the zombies jumps on you, your movements are slowed down, the gun is held and seized, as in RL, or if your shot etc, the gun reacts to the impacts etc.

Or in driving games, the feedback is run through the Falcon, I suppose with some gamers, any hinderance to their ability to shot or win is considered un-cool or worse. BUt to me, if that is how it 'could' be in RL, then that makes the game even more challenging.

And it seems that many developers feel the same way, judging by the number that are queuing up to adapt their games for the Falcon. Imagin Far Cry 2 with this, bloody amazing.

too bad the pistol grip doesn't have the blow back that real guns do. It'd be cool to see the guns chamber lock back when you're out of ammo.

It doesn't have the blowback per se, but its recoil is actually very effective. When firing a machine gun it even will cause your aim to raise slightly. I have to agree though, a CO2 blowback system would just be the ultimate addition to the grip.

If it ever makes its way to Australia, I'll certainly get one, or if I can get one from an American friend and ship it over, or if a distributor in the US ships overseas, then I'll be there.

So if anyone knows of any distributors shipping overseas, please do let me know.

I think if you watch the video, it mentions which platforms, and seeing most major developers are taking it on, it will be for all major platforms, it's definitely for the consoles, and if that is the case, which it is, then PC is a certainty.

There's now an extensive Demonstration video on the site from NovInt about how the Falcon works for online FPS game, the games it is compatible with and the games it is currently being adapted for the Falcon. Well worth a look-see.
