I feel the technical bravado of GTAIV is quickly overshadowing the substance of gameplay that is really missing, substance apparent in the previous iterations of the title. I've replayed San Andreas many times... GTAIV lacks that special magic in my opinion.

I agree with above. GTAIV is missing something SA had, not sure what but that game kept me playing and playing, after 3 hours it felt like I was already done with GTAIV :\

However, PC versions of GTA are always better than console ones. Why? Because of the mods :D
Can't wait to see what they can make out of this..

I'll tell you what San Andreas had that GTA4 didn't have that made you keep coming back for more: Plenty of Aircraft and Helicopters, ATV's, Dunebuggies, Customizable Cars, a lot more Side Missions, a bigger map to explore, and a more diverse map to explore (mountains, deserts, farms, etc...

San Andreas is still my favorite GTA game so far... I remembered I played San Andreas for nearly 2 years before I ever got bored with the game, but I played GTA4 for less than a month and haven't bothered with it since.

My dream GTA game would be a game everything that San Andreas had and more with a map twice the size.

SA is a beast! I played that since it came out until GTA IV came out...........nothing can compare!

SA with GTA IV graphics, physics..........that would be NUTSSSss!

Maybe when GTA IV: SOMETHING comes out it will evolve and be more like SA, but yeah one can dream! lol

I agree SA was amazing...the only area that was lacking in SA would have been the soundtrack..

SA gameplay with Vice City soundtrack and story..would be amazing

LOL PC games. Sure they have better graphics, however I bought GTA: IV months ago and already got tired of it after ten hours of gameplay. Welcome to PC, the real delaystation.

There difference between the PC delay vs the console delay is the fact that games actually look and play better. Plus PC delay doesn't have anything to do development issues or being "hard to program" for.

So Eurogamer gave a 10/10 on the 360 and a 9/10 on the PC that have:

-A larger Multiplayer scale
-Mods
-Better Graphics
-Better Controls

The PC standards are much, MUCH higher period. So yeah the same site that gave Bioshock a 10 for the 360 will give the PC version a 8.5 or 9 because it did not ship with a mod tools, multiplayer, and all the DLC content of the console version for free. Better graphics and performance isn't even a requirement, its a birth right. If the PC version graphics isn't vastly superior then the game will be lucky to get pass a 6.

This game is 7/10 material. It was probably the biggest over hyped game of our time.
