just goes to show you, sooner or later 3-4 years from now, the new standard for game installing via disc is going to be on BLu-ray, Heck just look, installs are taking on average 2 DVD 5's now, and its going to multiply soon.

If DVDs are just now becoming standard after all these years then Blu-Ray still has quite a ways to go before it's adopted.

This is sort of disappointing.

Some WOW gamers still only have a CD drive. I personally only know one of them, but they are out there and I would consider this a poor decision on Blizzard's part.

6 - I don't think its the death of PC CD games
theres a lot of smaller developers who still release games on CD's (The Adventure Company publishes quite a few CD based games).

Cd's have been in decline with developers making bigger and more complex games that require a lot more storage space, but that is not always the case as shown by the smaller devs.

CD based games will probably be rarer to find in future but I doubt they'll stop existing completely

Are you kidding me? There is no excuse to not having a dvd drive in your pc especially when you are paying 15 bucks a month to play WoW and its 2008. You can get a brand new dvd drive for 20 bucks now.
