NFS Producer : "No demo for Undercover"

Need for Speed : Undercover producer John Doyle has stated that they will not be releasing a demo for the latest iteration of the long running series. GamingIndians.com wonders why.

ah who cares its gonna be the same thing as pro street, the producer said that the gameplay from pro street is back on undercover seriously i missed nfs hot pursuit why cant they remake that and high stakes

The quality of NFS games has been lackluster in my opinion! I liked Most Wanted, but after that, the NFS games were weak. I guess i'll just have to buy it used like I planned to in the first place.

You should all really be looking into Midnight Club: Los Angeles! MC:LA should be a day 1 purchase in my opinion!

For games like this one no demo usually means that they're too afraid to release one. Meaning - it sucks so much, that demo will probably hamper sales.

The only conclusion I can come to then is that it sucks.

I remember when MLB The Show and MLB 2K8 were about to be released last year, only The Show released a demo on PSN before release. It kicked ass, but 2K8's demo was nowhere to be seen. Why? Because it sucked so bad they knew if people compared them, The Show would have slaughtered 2K8 completely.

I apply this logic to almost all games now.

I still remember this series when it was on the 3DO, where it originated. Back then, the cars behaved realistically, and it had these videos of this guy that would say things after the race based on how you'd done. It was a pretty fun game. On one track, the highway, it was the only track possible to reach 200mph and you had to not hit anything to do it.

The game just hasn't been the same Need for Speed it originated from. I guess maybe it was a niche game back then and got converted to casual.

7 - I see how it works now.
The last Need for Speed was very high on my games to get list last year, that was until i played the demo. Which was utter crap and promptly took it completely off my radar. Am assuming EA is trying avoid a repeat of that this year by not releasing a demo. They know it sucks however they are trying to get as many suckers to buy it before they know it's crap.

I still stand firm in my belief that N4S: Most Wanted was is the best in the series and i hope this one is more like that. If not i guess it's another pass for me.

Yes, they learned their lesson with the Pro Street demo. A lot of people were excited about Pro Street until they played that demo and saw what it was actually like.

Pro Street was a whole lot of blah and went back to Gamefly within a couple days of me getting it. They really need to spread this series out at least two years between games. Hopefully the extra time will allow them to make a quality product.

They expect us to buy a game that has no Demo. Not likely. I loved LFS all the way to Underground 2 then it went downhill from there real fast. Pro Street does not work properly with my Logitech G25 and wen I asked for a patch to fix this at the EA forums I got bashed and the official from EA deleted my post.

I will download this need for speed as a benchmark from a torrent site and if it fails to work with my wheel then I wont buy the game.
