EA Gives Red Alert 3 (Slightly) Less Stringent DRM

Headlines spread across the net Monday morning of customers sabotaging Spore's Amazon rating in protest to its strict digital rights management (DRM), and by Monday night, Electronic Arts was already looking to the future: Red Alert 3. Executive producer Chris Corry (going by the username EASmudge) posted an update on the game's official forum last night (via Kotaku), revealing that while Red Alert 3 will use the same SecuROM DRM software that so upset players of Spore (and the PC version of Mass Effect before it), the implementation will be slightly less rigid in a couple of ways.
