EA Considers Licensing Spore As a Platform For Developers

Kotaku writes: Electronic Arts knows that it has something much more than an interesting IP with Spore. They also have a new sort of gaming engine. Not something like Unreal, but something that allows you to create a different type of game. So it's no surprise that they're not going to let that go to waste.

1 - Oh the possibilities
Hand the engine to Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Bioware, Take-Two, Square-Enix, Santa Monica, Bungie, Level 5... Damn this could be good.

This game is cool, but in my opinion it doesn't have THAT much potential. I honestly think all those devs can develop better engines themselves in-house.
