1UP's Jeff Green Joining the Sims Team

1up writes: It's with great sadness but also much joy that we can announce that our very own Jeff Green is making the move to game development. After 17 (!) years with Ziff Davis Media, Jeff is finally jumping to the dark side to work on The Sims brand at EA.

Damn! This guy was funny too!

And to the guy above. To be fair many of them keep re-occuring on podcasts, reviews, previews, 1up show etc. Mark McDonald and Bryan Intihar and John Davison being the most recent ones.

Other than Luke, John, and now Jeff I really don't care that those other people left 1up. I thought Kathleen was annoying and The EGM podcast which some of the other people you mentioned were a part of sucked.

I think all hardcore gamers to some degree want to be devs and these guys are on a launching pad to not only be devs, but work for their favorite one. Not to mention they're probably making more money and this is their career, so why not make the jump. Shawn Elliot makes GFW to me, so even though this is kinda sad, its not that big of a deal.

5 - He will be missed.
Jeff Green is one of the coolest guys I've ever listened to on a Podcast. From his infamous line "You're not the Lord of the Rings!" to his latest stunt with Shawn reenacting the risque cyber session in Age of Conan, the man is a favorite to gamers who not only love to play games, but love to laugh. I'm going to miss this guy, he's a diamond in the rough, and as much as I wish him well, I hope he stops by. Often.
