HALO insertion game confirmed for PS3, 360 and PC

BlackFoot Studios has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Epic Games to license the Unreal Engine 3 for its upcoming military tactical action title Sky Gods.

In development for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Sky Gods will focus on a complete cooperative experience which centres on Special Forces operations, specifically HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) and helicopter insertion missions.

That would be crazy.

I just don't think the PS3 users would buy Halo 3 or even 4 at this point. I think it would probably sell about a million copies...which is great...but not for Halo. We have Resistance 2 coming out soon, ya know?

Halo on PS3 would be cool for a lot of people, but not myself. I'm not a Halo person. I prefer COD or Counter Strike.

Yep, most likely no 360 version for sky gods unless someone like EA is willing to work with microsoft on it, taken from the blackfoot studio site:

"What about consoles? We are in the process of submitting our package to become a certified Sony PS3 developer and plan to release Sky Gods on the PS3 as a Playstation Network downloadable title. However, due to the certification process of the game, it will be released a slightly later than the PC version.. We will also try to support user generated content as well, but that is an unknown at this point simply because we can't look into it until we are certified. Unfortunately there will most likely not be a 360 version. The reason is simple... MS does not offer the ability for independent developers to distribute titles in the same way Sony does, outside of Live. The issue with Live is they impose a 300mb limit on downloads and we cannot fit within that budget. Sony imposes no limit. If that changes then we will look at it. That does not rule out the possibility of signing with a smaller publisher to handle a full retail 360 version for us either. It’s important to mention, this is referring to Sky Gods only and not Ground Branch."

In reply to Piratethom and Waltercross only the fanbots would cry about it, personally I think the Halo series sucks (yes I own a 360 as well as a PS3). Exclusives are beginning to mean just that less and less nowadays. Maybe we will have a one console future, although the only good thing to come from that in my mind would be the end of fanbotism.

I have never owned a xbox therefore never played any halo game. I would probably get it if it ever came to ps3 just to see what all the fuss is about. Got about as much chance as 360 owners do with MGS4 though.

I thought it was all the other websites that posted articles with titles that lure in more than the targeted gamer.

By a raise of hands, who thought that they just MIGHT be talking about Halo, the famous video game trilogy with Master Chief? I'm saying "MIGHT" be. It's cool though.

The title clearly states "HALO insertion game". It is the correct usage of the acronym. Only people who don't read past the first word could possibly be confused on this issue. Actually that is a bit of a paradox because you would have to read past the first word to see that it is hitting the PS3 to begin with, therefore anyone who would be concerned has no cause to be.
