Internode Games: Alone in the Dark Review

Alone in the Dark's ambitious features and high production values just can't make up for the fact that the game fails at the basics. The game really tries to do too much by throwing driving and free roaming elements into the mix. Eden was clearly onto something in the early stages of the game, but that fizzled out once the game opened up, and issues such as technical glitches and poor controls really began to show.

Alone in the Dark will be remembered down the line for its daring ideas and fresh gameplay concepts, but only after another developer takes those ideas and pushes them further.
