2.1 - I played both
Fifa as marginally better and showed an enormous progression curve.
Fifa makes me think of an evolved Pro Evo for next gen consoles.

People need to stop talking out of their ass.

I own every PES in existence even the Winning Elevens and used to be a PES fanboy until last year.

I think FIFA 08 was a great improvement, but the gameplay in PES is much more fluid and realistic. FIFA just lags.

Every single time my 360 gets used,fifa08 gets played before everything.with that said. .Fifa09. AAA for me. Pes has let me down last year.and Fifa09 looks set to beat it again.stupid to compare it now though.

pes used to be thought of as the realistic football sim but thats all been turned on its head , after playing the next gen fifa's you realise how arcadey pes is and has always been

I thought that both Pes 2008 and Fifa 2008 where dire last year, I've always been a PES fan but in all fairness they haven't evolved the look of the game much, especially the menu system which reminds me of ISS on the SNES.

Hopefully with a year under their belt they will put out a better more playable ps3 version.

im a pro fan but pes 08 sucked konami went against fans of the game to bring in a new audience they made the game arcadey defence is appauling attack is ridicolous one fast person like ronaldo cant be tackled and will run throught the whole team. They got poorer prem league license tottenham and newcastle why not 2 of the top four. graphics suck so does music and online no wonder the game was nearly half price after a weeks release. fifa 08 first fifa game i brought after needing another football game and can honestly admit fifa beats pro. next battle i will still by pro first but if it sucks again il know what to do.
