If it was an RTS-MMO then I would be happy. But I am one of the few people that don't like level grinding or MMOs in general.

A Starcraft Related game beeing in the making next to Starcraft II would not be such a strange possibility especially if you consider the fact that Starcraft Ghost is official still on hold and not cancelled.

Whatever it turns out to be, it should be announced within the next 24 hours in Paris!

"Blizzard will get owned in the media" for 5 minutes until the next hype train pulls into the station. Seriously, they haven't said anything about this. If there is excitement around this Blizzard is just going to sit back, drink a beer, and laugh until they are ready to divulge whatever it is. Trust me, they are enjoying the free traffic to their site. When they announce the "Brand new Starcraft Pogs" and the internet goes "Boo", they will not be sad.

While this image opens up the possibility of it being a Protoss face it in no way confirms anything. Don't forget how the splash images and all the other clues totally changed the various theories. There seem to be supportive theories for all IP as well as a new one. THe only things that can be 'officially excluded are games that are already announced and non-game products such as movies.

Don't be sad just yet, the road to Diablo 3 lies wide open. This might be a nice option, but it is just that: an option.

The fact that:
- "industry sources" "confirmed" diablo 3.
- Blizzard obtained Diablo3.com.
- All CCS clues can be tied to Diablo 2 LoD.

Did support the D3 theory and they are still in the running. The fact that:
- The secret image is a pinguin
- A protoss head can be glued behind the image
- Not every clue is directly pointing for D3
Do not mean the Diablo 3 theory is any less viable. Blizzard hypes by giving away small clues in such a fashion that you can basically read them any way you want!

I still believe it to be Diablo 3.

umh. dont get me wrong, i love starcraft too but diablo is the KING. i remember a dev years ago saying that is stracraft 2 first and then diablo. they announced starcraft 2 already.

and for ppl thinking that it's a diablo mmo. WRONG, WoW is a diablo mmo. they just used all diablo elements, and glued the warcraft Lore around it.

Well, I think they're planning on stopping WoW additions after WotLK, and if the new MMO is announced, it won't out until well after people have had ebough of WotLK. I don't think Blizzard wants to compete with its own game. So, it'll just be WoW all over again without any extra casualties. It'll be most of the same WoW junkies.

Just because a SC MMO would come out (not saying it is) doesn't mean Blizzard would stop supporting WoW. That game makes them 150+ mil a month, you think they'd let that go easily? They have funding for whatever project they need just from WoW sub fees alone so everyone will be alright.

but i agree......kinda a strange move on there part to say hey..we are workin on the greatest...mmo of all time and or ever made (starcraft mmo will be just that) and then try to cont on with warcraft ...cuz alot of people are finally FINALLY coming off there WoW high and are unsure to get the new expo or not..and if they say hey starcraft mmo...alot of people will stay away from WoW and just wait it out for sc mmo...i personally hate wow...and hated final fantasy mmo...but THIS...wow...as i told u spy....get the things done i wanted to in live before i died...sky diving..... buy a hooker... etc...before this game comes out..cuz...ya...ill never move away from my computer again ;)

Not at all. D3 and WoW overlap in jut about everything but their cartoonyness. They are both fantasy worlds. They are both swords n armor and magic. Whereas a starcraft mmo would be a pvp mmo like planetside, diablo mmo would be just like wow, and have direct and exact competition with each other. A SC MMO caters to a different market (to some degree).

I say it'll probably be a pvp mmo because the entire game is about 3 species conflict, not instances and bosses and stuff.

Yes, but WoW is beginning to show its age and by the time this game would come out I think a lot of people would be ready for another WoW type game to replace it, with flashier graphics and such. I really can't see them releasing 2 Starcraft based games around the same time as it would probably confuse a lot of people and could mix them up.

Just my opinion on it. Whatever game they release I'll be buying it so it really doesn't matter.
