Seriously, they should have tied this to another petition. One that people cannot disagree with.

"Sign this petition for LOWER GAS PRICES (and to fix Orange Box)"

People that have no idea what the hell an Orange Box is would gladly sign it.

EA won't do anything about until Mike Seedon, does heavy marketing for this. He needs to send news to sites and label it similar to "EA screwed customers, customers engraged" or "Angry gamers demand EA fix their product".

Once it hits sites like consumerism, and other news site EA will have no choice but to send an official response.... maybe even a fix.

He also needs more signatures, because 2000 signatures are too few and as times go by the less likely somebody will fix it. People need to start label EA as it is in the news, a company out taking customers money for subpar products. If it starts tarnishing their brand name they will listen.

EA wouldn't have countersues, for a group of people.

Thye paid money for a product, that clearly is not up to an accpetable standard. I think it's Valves fault. And it's a shame, ebcuase althoguh I think Half Life 2 was overrated, as is Team Fortress 2 (much prefer the originals) Portal is a superb game.

What the point of the petition. EA is clearly not going to fix it, and neither is Valve. I feel sorry for all the people that want the problems to be fix on the ps3 version, but EA nor Valve is going to help them out. That why I didn't buy the Orange Box because I knew something like this was going to happen.
I really hope something happen that will force either EA or Valve to fix this game for the PS3

hey theHater, do not worry friend. A patch for PS3 gamers is coming. No release date has been announced, nor will it ever be. Remember my user name, ageoflight. Do not forget me, neither what i have just told you. This petition [along with the website] have been consulted by VALVE very recently. VALVE has listened to the petition, and is responding. They are working on the issues.
VALVE cares, or at least they started caring now.

Even if they do get a patch, I prob won't get this game because I will not be supporting valve at all. If it's on second hand I definately might because I know I'll be missing out. But I hate valve now, and especially gabe. I wanna punch him in the face so bad.

It's sad that people have to go through all this trouble to get a patch for something they spent $60 on. I'd say HL2 easily tops any other FPS game out there, but Valve isn't likely going to spend any time fixing the game. The PC version had a stuttering issue that didn't get fixed for a long time (if ever, it's been a while since I played the PC version) so they probably won't even bother with the PS3 version.

Valve even said that they would have no hand in this. They said it is all EA's job, even though they created the damn game. I guess they really don't care about quality control.

Valve might make the best games known to man, but as a company they are really lazy a-holes.

I imagine the patch needed is for TF2?

I've never even tried to play it.

As for all that stuff about PS3's EP2 being Sooooo messed up, what a crock, it ran just fine on my system. Did they release a patch for that I didn't know about yet probably DL'd? Because EP2 on PS3 is just fine.

I'm glad I don't care about TF2, but feel bad for those that want to play it. Bottomline is this game did not sell well on the PS3 because of all the bad media attention. The Orange Box is worth the price without TF2 working...I love HL2. (since the PC game) Didn't care for Portal much either.

I really hope Valve fix the Team Fortress 2 issue cuz I'm a fan of that game... actually is the only game on Orange Box that I'm playing with some of my pals especially for the humor that the game hold and also the great moments that occurs on the gameplay. IF Valve is really take a look over this site... PLEASE fix the PS3 issue and if it is possible add a clan support please ^__^

I think this petition is ridiculous! Thats why a REAL gamer have more than one console..Whenever a title is "worse" on PS3 or 360 I go for the "better" one..Thats why I have Orange Box for my Xbox 360 and thats why I have GTA4 for my PS3! I dont HAVE to sit on the internet and act like a bloody child whenever a conversion of a game is bad on one console...

You're mistaken. As i have said above, VALVE has looked into this petition very recently are are working on a PS3 patch, although no release will be announced. They'll release it as soon as it's ready.

The anger towards the devs is more about punishing them due to the way the devs feel about PS3(future games being exclusive on the 360 was the last straw). #4 is slighty right about not being able to figure out why people are fanatical about this.

I enjoyed OrangeBox - Only MGS4 has surpassed it so far (for me)
The framerates dropped blah blah but the game was fantastic. The issues really lie with Team Fortress which sucks...and needs fixing for sure - someone needs to take ownership of this game and its problems. I just hope that if there is a HalfLife3 Valve wont leave out the PS3 or I am gonna have to get a better PC!!
