Crysis is dead, long live Crysis: hints on new project emerge

Ars Technica writes: "Crysis was one of the few games released in the last few years that took advantage of high-end hardware and also remained a PC exclusive. Some people loved it, others found it pedestrian, but it's always good to see this sort of big-name first-person shooter stay true to its PC roots. It may be the last game Crytek releases that takes that path, as there will be no more patches for the game, and hints are starting to surface about something called Crysis: Warhead."

Any money it's an expansion pack-length sequel, and it's coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 too (duh).

I bought Crysis on PC, in my opinion it was worth it. Shame so many people pirated it.

Crysis sold 3 million copies.
That's a milestone few games reach.

True about the #s but crysis would of sold a ton more without the piracy its a sad fact. im waiting for my ps3 port, no drivers and fancy computer to worry about getting the game to work. will be nice.

Agreed, one of the reasons why I switched from PC gaming.

I don't think it'll be long before it hits the 360 and the PS3.

Being a PC port, fingers crossed that the PS3 folks don't get a raw deal.

Crysis will sell more as well as time passes and more people buy a new PC to upgrade to get it. As far as a port to consoles Crytek says no. Crysis 2/3 will be on consoles, but Crysis will not be ported. At least that is what they have said. Don't know just yet if they will change their minds though. Its not because of Piracy that this game is coming to consoles. Piracy is still a problem but its not the reason. Its because it can sell extremely well on PC and likely it will sell extremely well on consoles as well.
