Valve Announces Steam Cloud - Indefinite Online Save Game, Replay Video, Kill-cam Storage, and other features

Valve's been quite busy getting ready to roll out some impressive updates to their games and Steam in general:

"Valve today announced Steam Cloud, a free Steam system that will retain users' saved games and configuration files indefinitely.

Half-Life and Half-Life 2 will be the first games to support the service....

The company is also working on several new Steam systems, including a driver auto-updater and calendar functionality.

Another feature in the works is a system-requirement checker. The program will analyze your hardware and compare it to multiple games, estimating your performance and recommending upgrades.

Valve is also considering storing replay videos and kill-cam screens from games such as Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source. "

1.2 - Gabe Newell- biggest a$$hole in videogame industry
As long as Gabe Newell is in charge of Valve (which will unfortunately probably be for a very long time), then I will not say one nice thing about Valve, Steam or any of its products.

Gabe Newell is the biggest f-ing a**hole in the videogame industry. Look at all the a**hole-ish things he has said about the ps3:

5 - Great features
Its stuff like this that makes pc gaming lightyears ahead of consoles. But valve are lazy devs eh ps3 fankids?

Also localized pricing DO NOT WANT. The whole advantage of steam was to buy at US prices =( Orange box for $49 US on steam or $89 AU in retail stores....
