Windows 7 Shows Microsoft Hasn't Learned Vista Lessons

The project was called MinWin, a Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) effort to slim down the next version of Windows. The company said it had heard, loud and clear, that another bloated OS like Vista wouldn't fly. Then Windows 7 galumphed into the room.

Bashing it already, nearly 2 prior to release. Think it's a little early.

2 - Anyone surprised?
They still wont admit vista's a flop just cause their jamming it down everyones throats. Enough is enough people are flocking to other alternatives at record rates. Just hope its enough to make them fold and another bad os should help the process immensely.

2.1 - Yep
I just ran my first try of Ubuntu yesterday. Awesome, no bloat, comes with everything built in you need for FREE, like open office and firefox, no need to install. Wish I could figure out how to use the optical port on my computer(built in, not a PCI card). If anyone can tell me, much appreciated. (I'm totally new and know NO programming language, so step by step.) Bubbles will be given!

Same story every new generation of windowses.. people really don't get how hard is to have this many hardwares/softwares/etc running smootly right out of the box.

Give it time to mature and in a couple of years you will be bityhing about how good Vista is and how lame whatever comes next is..

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Considering the fact that I don't have the patience to learn and utilize superior open source software, XP will do just fine until a true successor is released.

Windows 7 isn't even a shadow yet with 2 or more years before its release. It is already on the "I hate list" many people on n4g seem to keep on them. Considering the specs are alleged to be close to Vista, how is this a problem? If you have a brand new computer you shouldn't have any issues running Vista (anything dual-core should do the trick). Slower performance in games is one legacy Vista is sure to leave behind. However, unless your a hardcore PC gamer who wants everything maxed out...you don't really have anything to complain about. Stop the hate train, its a laugh to read but pathetic at the same time.

9 - To everyone saying why the hate so soon
Because it's running on Vista's Core and they said they wont touch the core...

what would you expect...

that's the biggest turn off..
