Hey wait a second. As far as I can make out from his comments was that those who have already played the game on other platforms will definitely want to purchase it for PS3. Anyways even if those extra contents come to PS3, most probably they are gonna charge the 360 owners for these stuff. As is the common norm now a days.

Probably the PC more than the 360. I can't see to many people forking out for more content on a game they haven't played for a year.

Of course it depends what the extra content is, but I believe it would have to be pretty special to make your open up your wallet and bioshock case once again.

Whoever wrote this is an arsehole. It obviously means that 2K hope that people will enjoy the game agin, on a new platform... He is basically trying to widen it's appeal. I mean, no extra content would mean that no 360 or PC owner would pick it up.

A little cash and time spent on new features and repeat sales from multi-platform owners increases 100%. It's just business sense. Maximisation.

I read this as suggesting that improvements that are being made to the PS3 version would also be incorporated into the 360 version (kinda like Oblivion). A new version of the game would be sold but previous purchasers could download a patch.

But I seriously doubt the enhancements would make it worth buying again if you already played - just a nice bonus for everyone that has not yet played Bioshock.

Was delivered as an assumtion by the articals writer.

Otherwise I would find it hard to justify the suggested "re-purchase" of this game if there was nothing truly unique about one of the versions.

I've heard how great the game is but I don't own a 360. If 2K gave 360 owners a demo, I expect to have one also. I'm very interested in trying it out. There's some stiff competition come this fall when it lauches so a demo would be ideal.

what would be the reasons for people picking up the PS3 version of Bioshock, if the extra content was available on the 360 day and date?

it's called incentive to buy, and Take 2 is exercising this tactic to entice people that may have already played Bioshock into picking up the newer version (ie, folks like myself).

i'll be picking up the PS3 version of Bioshock, as i've never beaten the original, and i prefer the PS3 controller over the 360 controller in almost all areas (except for the triggers. the 360 analog sticks aren't too bad either, but the digital pad, bumpers, and face buttons are pretty awful).

Wow that was a terrible, i say TERRIBLE article! The whole headline and everything is based on an incomplete assumption. How do these people know how to write without understanding how to read?

"Over the coming months we look forward to revealing the new features and content that will make this a must-have game for its new audience, as well as for those who enjoyed it on the other platforms."

All those particular words mean is that there will be new features that are so exciting 360 and PC owners who played the game will consider buying it for PS3 just for these features.
