Left 4 Dead Officially Delayed to November

Valve's Doug Lombardi confirms yet another delay for the multiplayer zombie game Left 4 Dead.

Valve's head honcho and public figure Doug Lombari says that Left 4 Dead will be heading to the PC and Xbox360 this November. The multiplayer zombie title was previously supposed to come out some point this summer.

I think visually it is fine, much better than a lot of other titles that are releasing this year and later honestly. Gameplay wise, I think this game will excel really well, check out the video below.

Splinter cell is currently in the lead with a release date of 2010...
Followed by alan wake with a release date of no where to be found
Closely trailing behind are halo wars and left for dead:D

I don't think the game will fare too well in november considering MSoft will be squeezing banjo, fable 2 and Gears of War in that time frame...somethings got to give.

It's hard to delay games that never had a release date to begin with. The only delayed game on your list is Left4Dead. It's a third party game and still, it never had an official release date. I don't think you'll hear Xbox 360 users complaining; they aren't hurting for games.

5.1 - They arent really concerned about the 360 with this game IMO
their target gamers im guessing is more, the current half-life 2 and Counter-Strike players on steam! i think that they will sell tons on Steam because thats where most of the Valve fans are.. not on the 360.. and IMHO why would you want to play a FPS like this with a controller when you can have a mouse and keyboard...??

And people thought that it was just the PS3 that got delays. Whenever a PS3 game get's delayed it's freaking headline news but when a 360 game get's delayed it's like it doesn't even mean anything.

I think that in November more people will be going for Gears 2 on the 360 than Left 4 Dead.

With the release of Resistance 2 and Gears 2 in November, Left 4 Dead is going to be Left Behind.

How much left 4 Dead will cost? And will it come packaged with any other games? I know it's a online game only so i'm guessing it's not gonna be priced at $60. Unless it comes with another game or something to lift the price to 60 smackers.

Uhhh why did someone disagree with me for asking a question about how much the game will cost? I was hoping that the game would be packaged with another game to make it look more appealing instead of just a online game.

Releasing in November is a bad idea. I think the majority are looking at Resistance 2 and Gears 2 for their November purchases.

I rather them delay to January where they would have an open month to themselves are at the earliest Sept/Oct.

All your exitement for this already completed ugly game is predicted sales to publishers. Lol you guys still think resistance will sell well. Resistance would have been a flop if it was not a launch game. With the huge amount of quality games and being overshadowed by gears of war 2 , resistance 2 will be lost this fall.

No telling when i'll actually play this now. Certainly not at launch, though; there's just far too much coming out on the PS3 and 360 around that time.

Still, game looks excellent, and a delay could only help improve it.

wow at the amount of ppl that are worried about the graphics, just goes to show how shallow gaming has gotten, it's got hl2 graphics (probably ep2 graphics since it had a few enhancements). to even think the devs are working to appeal to your sorry asses. left 4 dead is about intense team gameplay with supposedly ever-changing scenarios, not about the next crysis...
now honestly i don't think it was a good move, the closer to christmas u get, the less chance u've got if you're not a AAA title
