Funcom gets the hump about cancelled pre-orders - beta now closed

There is a message on the Funcom forums saying that Early Access keys to the Age of Conan beta are now sold out and that access is closed...

However, it appears that people who actually have Early Access keys are also being locked out. It seems that Funcom's frustrated at people acquiring keys by pre-ordering the game before cancelling their orders.

"Pre-orders on accounts that was later cancelled will have their keys/account disabled," the site informs.

They had over a million people signed up for the beta.

My brother-in-law is in the beta, and he says that WoW is doomed because of this game. It is blowing him away with gameplay, graphics and depth.

He's a MMORPG fanatic, and he said he expects that he'll be playing Age of Conan almost exclusively when it is released.

He's a PC gamer (he also has a Xbox 360 Elite) and I'm a Xbox 360 gamer -- its really great that this will be a cross-platform multiplayer game, we'll be able to play over LIVE.

This game can't come to market fast enough, it's going to be a smash hit.

Contrary to what you mentioned the previous batch of beta testers had a huge problem with this game, a lot of them just said it wasn't fun. AOC is directed towards the adult market, if anything Warhammer will have a bigger effect than AOC.

By the way, Cross-platform gaming isn't official, they haven't even talked about it since the confirmation of AOC, except for saying that they don't know if it's going to happen. You spin facts so often it's sickening.

Also to add to the fact, the Xbox 360 version of Age of Conan is coming about nine months to a year after the PC version.

yea, with a year head start and no mouse on 360.... this would result in bad things for the dude holding onto that white controller.

Cross-platform play hasn't been confirmed. All they've said about the topic, is that its up to MS.
I'm hoping it is. So I can play with one of my friends.

Yap absolutely.Played in Open Beta and have collectors edition on the way.The game is revolutionary.I was one of the fortunate to read things and get my early access on.

AOC is all I know. I can't wait to start decapatating monsters. Did someone mention nudity in this game. I wonder if xbox 360 ver will have nudity.
