Seriously, I was playing this game a ton and was pissed off they didn't release this soon enough. They come up with the update now when GTA4 is out, phuck you Valve.

According to Tim Dorr, one of the guys working on TF2, the update will be available on Tuesday.

Sweet. It is only 3 months since they originally said it would be released. But I can't wait for this. These extra additions to the armory is really going to add depth to the gameplay.

It basically makes the medic class more fun.

Instead of just the health gun, the medic will have a gun that gives the patient all critical hits for a short period of time.

The new syringe gun will not have crit abilities but will restore medic health with every hit.

After a bunch of achievements you'll get a new bonesaw that pumps your uber up to 25% with every hit.

the update is huge.

first up is 3 unlockable weapons per class....rewarded thru completing achievements. at 12, 24, and 36 of the achievements completed.

the weapons available for unlock:

The Blutsaugher
For players that earn one third of the 36 new medic achievements, they will be given a new syringe gun. Called "The Blutsaugher," this new weapon no longer has the ability to score critical hits against an opponent. Instead it will draw health from enemies each time a syringe hits. Especially useful as a weapon to retreat away from the fight while staying alive.

The Critzcrieg
Once a medic has earned two thirds of the achievements, they will be granted "The Critzcrieg." This new medigun uses its ubercharge not for invulnerability, but to give its recipient 100% chance to fire critical ordinance. Medics and the player they are charging need to be careful though, because as much fun as it is to fire critical rockets as fast as you can, the other team will see what you're up to and try to put a quick stop to your plan.

The Ubersaw
For the determined medic that has earned all 36 of the new achievements, they will find themselves the proud owner of "The Ubersaw," which will take damage done in melee attacks and convert it directly to ubercharge. Four hits with this new weapon will fully charge whatever medigun the medic has eqiupped.

as of right now its PC only. no real concrete word if/when its coming to consoles. hell console guys havent even gotten Badlands yet. i have my copy on PC because im a lot more comfortable using a keyboard and mouse for online FPS's....and also my main group of friends play PC games online.

from what i remember Valve wants to bring the updates to consoles...yet i dont know what the snag is. Valve is the best at releasing FREE content to its customers. Constant updates....fixes...new content...new game modes...and why they havent translated that to the console versions is beyond me.

my suggestion is if you are going to buy a Valve game...buy it for PC :D
