Epic Games and Intel's '$1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest' For Unreal Tournament 3 Mods

Today, Epic Games and Intel have announced the $1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest. Epic Games and Intel will be judging mods for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3, for the following categories: environments, characters, weapons, gameplay, tools, vehicles and more.

Cool. I know there was plenty of cool mods for UT2004 when they did this last time. I just hope they bring them to the PS3 too. Should be awesome.

I can't see this as being as big a contest with mods as innovative as those seen in the 'Make Something Unreal' contest for UT2004. Epic really screwed up the PC version. I think the population of the fanbase can attest to that. I decided to fire up the UT3 demo again just a few days ago and I saw ONE server, compared to the dozens that UT2004 had a few months after it was released and the dozens that the Battlefield 2 demo still has to this day.
