More Details on Battlefield: Bad Company Emerge

IGN writes: "After speaking with spokesperson for EA, IGN has learned a few more details on the intended pricing structure for the weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company. There has been some public outcry that EA is trying to "scam" customers as screens of the BF:BC Beta indicated that some weapons might have to be purchased off of Marketplace, thus giving some an advantage over the rest of the playing field.

Here's the real deal straight from the EA Spokesperson, "Battlefield: Bad Company will release five unique weapons free of charge through five different promotional programs prior to launch. EA will again make these weapons available to players free of charge after launch, in case anyone missed the pre-launch promotions."

3 - this notion alone
makes me want to pass on this game, any idiot that would buy this game and then give away more money for weapons that should be included in the game is a beggar to the demise of gaming.

5 - I agree with the person who posted on ign.
If you buy any EA games, wait until you can find it used so EA gets no money from the sale, and for gaming's sake don't buy the useless weapons. EA are bad for gaming, so let's not support their efforts. At least until they get a clue and trim their fat instead of trying to take our meat and potatoes.
