First details on Rainbow Six Vegas 2

The Official Xbox Magazine has revealed the first details on the Rainbow Six Vegas sequel, which is currently planned for a release in Q1 2008 in Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. The first details are summarized below.

- The game will have 11 new weapons.
- Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will also feature 11 new multiplayer maps, of which a few remakes from Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.
- There will also be 2 new multiplayer modes.
- The Xbox Live part is also expanded with a new 'Search' function, for quicker results in match findings.
- You will also be able to join matches that have already started, so that you don't have to wait until the round is over for you to start.
- Ubisoft has also strongly modified the enemy A.I. for the singleplayer part.
- You will also be able to choose between a male or female character in the singleplayer. Plus you will be able to customize your character in lost of different parts and ways.
- Every cutscene in the game is real-time, like for instance Half Life.
- The singleplayer portion is partly sequel and partly prequel.
- The framerate is much higher, which results in a smoother and better image.
- Planned for release in the US in March 2008.
