Borderlands now at 3 million sold

TVGB: "Gearbox's Borderlands, aka the fastest-selling new intellectual property of 2009, has reached 3 million copies sold, CEO and president Randy Pitchford has said. Take-Two's financial results released in mid-December showed that the role-playing shooter had reached the 2 million mark by the end of October, meaning the extra million was generated in about three and a half months, if Pitchford's data is recent."

Patchy is an idiot, and then when something happens and proves him to be he starts talking like that is what he was saying the whole time. Boarderlands looked pretty sweet and I feel it's a game that can keep selling for awhile. I didn't pick it up yet, but the summergame drought usually happens and that could be the perfect time for me to get Boarderlands.

Well I guess it is cause they could potentially mean it sold 1mill for each platform in under 6 months or so and that's pretty damned awesome for a new IP. Great job, so I'm guessing Borderlands 2 is in the works as we speak :)

I so regret buying this on pc, it was the first multiplat that I didn't buy on my 360 and I still kick myself for doing it.

Can I ask why you say this? I have both ps3 and 360 and a decent rig, but have been looking to buy this for pc, as is the route I go for most non exclusive shooters. Bad port, no pc gamer friends or is your pc not up to snuff?

Don't know what is wrong with her, but there is nothing wrong with the PC version. Unless, she is talking about the dynamic shadows issue, but the recent patch fixed that up nicely.

The only difference I see is, you can't do split screen co-op (on PC), BUT people tell me there's an issue with being able to see the inventory screen clearly for split screen.

GREAT GAME! All I need is the 'Ding! Level 50!' For platinum. Enjoyed my time with it a lot. Though I have to admit, I was playing with a friend throughout my entire first playthrough, I can't imagine the game being anywhere near as fun alone. I love the online <3 Also zombie download expansion is really good.
Moxxi's underdome could've been epic, but no xp and loot ruined it for me. Whenever I failed a mission I had nothing to show for it.

The game is good. KZ2 was only on Playstation, while boarderlands is on everything, it is not rational to compare the sales of multiplat-games to exclusives. Halo sells well unless you compare it to ModernWarfare 2.

There is a Demand out there for Co-op games. Hope developers are paying attention to this.
