Sky Sports Extra signs Counterstrike

Counter-Strike is coming to the dedicated UK sports channel, Sky Sports Extra, sources have told CVG.

Valve and Sky have signed a deal to produce a program based around Counter-Strike tournaments. In case you need reminding Counter-Strike is the massively popular online team-based shooter.

Sky has purchased the broadcasting rights from Valve Software for Counter-Strike in the UK and the firm intends run regular TV shows around organised competitions for screening on Sky Sports Extra.
