Codies wants to turn Op Flash into CoD-style franchise

Videogamer writes: "Codemasters wants to turn realistic military sandbox shooter Operation Flashpoint into a franchise.

The Operation Flashpoint brand has seen only a handful of titles released since the original Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis wowed PC gamers over eight years ago.

This October will finally see the release of the long-awaited follow-up Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC."
