Not because they managed to scare the s#$@ out of more than 1.4 million people with Dead Space and not because they managed to have more than a million people committing virtual suicide over and over again from the skyscraper roof tops in Mirrors Edge, nor was it because they had another 29 titles that sold more than a million copies each in that year. No, 2008 was a marked year for EA because it was the year their new IP Spore was launched and downloaded illegally more than 1.7 million times in the last quarter, making it the most pirated game of all time according to Torrent Freak.
