Independent PC developers NimbleBit have released a trailer for their PC Kart combat game Zero Gear.
"Zero Gear is a physics-fueled, multiplayer kart combat game. Deck out your kart and character before jumping into one of many different game types. Awesome kinetic items help to spice up the action. With an open scripting system for creating new game modes, as well as support for user-created maps, karts, characters and more, you could experience something new every time you play. The potential for tiny vehicular mayhem has never been so humongous! Boost, flip, spin, tumble and slide your way to victory!"
Zero Gear is currently in beta on the PC and due for release in the second half of 2009.
Nimblebit has released a new update for its kart combat and racing game Zero Gear, adding the new Sumo game mode.
Multiplayer.it: The genre of arcade driving games was very fashionable a few years ago, just think of legendary games like ATR - All Terrain Racing or the newer Re-Volt, still a myth in many actually still played by a handful of loyalists .
Gamer Limit writes: "When you think of competitive kart racing games, Mario Kart is the main franchise that comes to mind, with several iterations on all number of Nintendo systems. However, developer Nimblebit is hoping to shake up the kart racing genre with their first offering for the PC, Zero Gear.
It's hard not to draw parallels to Mario Kart when speaking of a kart racing game, and Zero Gear stays true to the style, offering numerous weapons to use against your opponents in an effort to score an underhanded win."
