I'm curious to know if the latest expansion increased the subscriber base.

WotLK requires that you have both WoW and The Burning Crusade so I doubt it increased the subscriber base by much.

They have over 10million players (maybe not everyone of them are paying subscribers, But I'd say a hefty amount of them are)
Thats 15$ a month per person.
150,000,000 a month lol.

I guess they're goal is to Keep

Even if less than half of the 10 millions are real subs that still clock WoW as the most successful game in the history of man. Its a cash cow of epic proportions that Sony and Microsoft can only dream about. Even if you roll Halo 3, Gears 1, Gears 2, MGS4, and GTA 4 sales into one I doubt they will ever make as much as WoW. The crazy thing about this game is it's not slowing down after four years and will continue to dominate the industry for years to come.

WOTLK sold 2.8 million copies....in a day! It is the fastest selling PC game in history. People came back from War Hammer and Conan.

It is indeed a holy cash cow and it would be interesting to see the increase in new subscribers with the latets expansion.
