AceGamez: Galactic Civilizations II: Endless Universe Review

AceGamez writes: " Forgive me a minute as I point out the obvious, but space is rather massive. An endless expanse of nothingness filled with stars, planets, black holes and who knows what else, how daunting it must be for the guys at NASA when they try and decide in which direction to point their latest satellite. Equally daunting is the task facing you on your entrance to Galactic Civilizations II: Endless Universe, not because the objective is impossible to achieve but because the game is so big and so time consuming that it's really hard to know where to begin.

In GC II you take charge of one of twelve races in a future that has seen the availability of hyperdrive technology open up the galaxy to all space-faring species. Your goal remains simple: to build an empire that far outstretches that of any of your eleven neighbours, but the methods you employ in accomplishing this are left entirely up to you. Military might, economic growth, diplomacy and even technological superiority can each help secure vast swathes of the galaxy - and a more adventurous player might even attempt to combine all four. Getting to that end goal is far from easy though."
