Ask most people which ancient myths they are most familiar with, and the majority will answer 'Greek'. Hosting a pantheon of memorable figures like Zeus, Athena, Ares, Hercules, The Medusa and Kratos (...or not), it's not hard to see why. The success of titles like God of War, which played with the familiar iconography of Greek mythology, and movies like the pseudo-historical 300 only reinforce the popularity of these stories in mainstream culture. Now, Codemasters and Liquid Entertainment arrive brandishing their upcoming action-RPG Rise of the Argonauts for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, in the hope that it can capture a segment of the same audience which made the abovementioned entertainments so successful.
