Spore Cracked by "RELOADED" Group

After news of Spore breaking the street date in Australia, we hear that Spore has already been cracked by a group called "RELOADED" despite it's use of SecuROM, the anti-pirating software. (the same one used in BioShock) There are currently over 10,000 people downloading the game on just one public torrent tracker. All this 4 days before the game even comes out in North America.

Those guys sure are quick!

orakga5706d ago

I woulda never have bought the game... it's just too expensive.
But I have to admit, I'm tempted to try it out if it's for free... meh.

Nah forget it. I need to take care of house chores before the Oct/November flood of AA+ titles. (at least 6 games I need to buy; that's nearly $400 in software costs) Thank god Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 aren't coming out this year because I can't afford to upgrade my computer on top of all those PS3/360 games.

STEVIE_5706d ago

Yeah, there are so many great games being released this year.

TheIneffableBob5706d ago

orakga, the Galactic Edition is $80.

Regular edition is $50.

badz1495706d ago

what PC games ever survived this? NONE! so, sooner(in this case, too soon!) or later, it will happen no matter what.

TheIneffableBob5706d ago

Alone in the Dark has not been cracked yet and it's been 2 months.

Fr0ZzZeN5705d ago

Thats because no-one wants it.

Tarasque5705d ago

That's funny, cause people are posting articles that piracy isn't a problem or as big as people make it out to be. This is just 1 torrent and that's losing them 600,000. It's kinda sad actually, what comes around goes around though.

Bloodwar5705d ago

Is the Australian government going to do its part and protect the intellectual properties of the game developers? Will the developers perhaps go after these criminals if they don't get help by the federal government? Computer gamers keep it up. You folk continue to burn your games for free and you will see less and less games being developed for the PC format. Get a job and buy your games you pathetic fools. Otherwise your PC will be just the paper weight you always needed for your office. lol

spandexxking5705d ago

im gonna love it when these people have no games to pirate after developers reject developing for pc.

shazam5705d ago

90 percent of the people downloading it would not have bought it in the first place.

When some on downloads it it is not like they have one less physical copy to sell. So they don't lose money in that regard either.

Tarasque5705d ago (Edited 5705d ago )

Exactly, Why even think about buying it when you can steal it for free right. Idiot's trying to justify stealing. But if you couldnt steal it more people would be prompted to have to buy it.

@Fr0ZzZeN
If know one wants it then why are thery stealing it?

TheIneffableBob5705d ago

spandexxking, if PC games stop being made (which will never happen), then people will just go on to pirate console games. It requires a little more hassle initially, but once the setup is done then it's way easier to pirate a console game than a PC game.

Lord Anubis5706d ago

looking for the torrent...eh.. just to confirm.

STEVIE_5706d ago

It's out there, and RELOADED are too good at what they do - it's actually scary.

chasuk085706d ago

Dont worry these 10,000 people are being monitored right now and are going to be pounced on by the government and recieve some big fines. Well in England anyway hehe.

ar5706d ago

The time and money spent on adding the protection to the game could have been used for something better. Why don't they ever learn?

5706d ago
Tarasque5705d ago

People are learning, that's why epic, valve and even id are moving to consoles.

jojo3195706d ago (Edited 5706d ago )

.....and going quick. No interest from me though. I thought of buying this one but I'm far too impatient.

edit: i guess i should clarify, i meant i'm too impatient for these types of games (resource management/sims)!

The 10 Weirdest Video Games You Can Play Today

From Xfire: "Anyone who's played video games for a couple of years has stuck around long enough to stumble across a few weird ones. Some are even quite popular, which is all the more reason why you'll wonder what made the developers think about making such a game and why people are loving it, despite its weirdness anyway. Not all weird video games are head-scratches. Some are actually quite good."

BlackDoomAx1073d ago

The stick of truth is a must have for any South Park fans. I spent a good afternoon on Goat simulator, a rare real open world. I planned to try hatoful boyfriend since it was free on Ps Plus. Disco Elysium is on my radar since the final cut came out; as soon as there is a discount, i will take it. Like movies, i like weird games too :)

The 10 Best Video Games With Cut Content

From Xfire: "The four-hour director's cut known as Zack Snyder's Justice League has led to the discussion of movies in the past that might have fared a whole lot better had they been released to be more in line with the original vision of their creators. But, as it turns out, cut content doesn't just happen in movies. In fact, the act of cutting content before the release date happens arguably just as often in video games as it does in cinema."

anast1080d ago (Edited 1080d ago )

I can't believe they cut stuff from Skyrim. At release, it was a barebones game with a slight improvement in graphics.

-Foxtrot1079d ago

"Now, before we proceed, we'd like to say that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the best video games ever made. It's not just a fine piece of gaming. It's one of the finest there is"

Really?

MGSV is easily the worst main line MGS game and not just because of cut story content, the open world is bare bones and there's hardly anything to do. It's repetitive, samey and is just lifeless. I appreciate the stealth mechanics, the animations and the way you can go with combat but it's not enough to keep me engaged the full way through.

Kojima should have done a twist and make the main chunk of the game a Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2 remake to bring the story full circle.

lsujester1079d ago (Edited 1079d ago )

Story issues aside, V has amazing gameplay. I'm not sure what you're wanting out of the world in terms of "things to do", it's all the great gameplay the series has always had. Useless filler that other open worlds have like collecting flags and petting horses would have added nothing to that game.

JRMVN1073d ago

THE TRUTH! I don't even know how that game gets praised. The previous ones were so much better.

Classic Games I'd Love To See Again.

While we have witnessed a lot of remakes, remasters and even sequels to games a decade old. There are still some gems that are close to my heart that are lost to me. Here are some classic games that I'd love to either see remakes or remasters of, or even a sequel on new hardware.
