Blizzard not worried about losing WOW fans to Diablo III

Blizzard has said that it is "hoping" that World of Warcraft's monstrous fan-base will take an interest in its latest game, action-RPG Diablo III, but that it isn't concerned about losing monthly WOW revenue.

Most of them will probably keep their subscriptions and get d3 on the side. Diablo doesnt take as much upkeeping as a MMORPG does.

The game model of diablo 3 from the looks of it is the same as d2, meaning there will be NOT as much maintenace on as a mmorpg

I'm one of those people who are saying bye bye WOW and hello diablo 3 without even thinking

diablo 2 rocked back in the day. WOW is full of elitist pr!cks who are all about 40 player, 3-4 hour dungeon raids or arena pvp addicts who take optimization to the point of lunacy.

You could solo dungeons in Diablo 2 and still get sweet loot without basing your life around the game. I also prefer the gothic, demonic feel of Diablo to the medieval WOW and the spacey, sci-fi feel of the Burning Crusade. I think WOW took a turn for the worse with Burning Crusade. I actually was having quite some fun with it up from levels 50-60 then BC kinda bored me with rep grinds and mote farming so I quit a couple months ago.

I agree... Pumpkin, I LOVED the fact I could solo... or invite a friend, throw a portal and go to town.

I am very curious how they will handle loot pickup. It looks to me like it was auto pickup from running over it. This will change A LOT with the loot of D2.

I also hope they fix things like the corpse loot popping that used to take place.

I almost opened up D2 again, but I remember what a pain it is leveling through the same thing over and over. I slacked and let my accounts go, I had like 6-8 lvl 99's and its hard to go back, so I guess I will have to wait till D3!
